Contract Length:
8 Weeks with possible extension
Local's Pay Range:
$45- $50/Hour Pay offered is based on experience, expertise, credentialing, and education.
Duties:
Assist physicians during GI procedures, including ERCP, EUS, EGD, colonoscopy, bronchoscopy, food bolus removal, GI bleed management, stent placement, and dilations. Prepare procedure rooms by ensuring all required equipment and supplies are available, functional, and properly set up. Prepare and transport patients safely before, during, and after endoscopic procedures while monitoring patient condition and reporting changes promptly. Clean, disinfect, and reprocess endoscopy equipment and procedure rooms according to infection control and facility guidelines. Maintain inventory, restock supplies, perform equipment quality checks, and coordinate repairs as needed.
Requirements:
Education:
High School Diploma or GED. Certification(s): BLS Certification (AHA Only) - Required.
Years of Experience:
Minimum 3 years of recent Endoscopy Technician experience.
Skills/Specialties/Technology:
Experience assisting with ERCP, EUS, EGD, Colonoscopy, Bronchoscopy, Food Bolus Removal, GI Bleed procedures, Stent Placement, and Dilations. Knowledge of aseptic technique, infection prevention, and endoscopy equipment reprocessing. Strong patient care, communication, and teamwork skills. Ability to maintain equipment, monitor inventory, and support efficient procedure room operations.
