Wellness Fitness Specialist II Job Type:
Part -time (approximately 20 - 24 hours per week)
Job Location:
Ft. Meade $18-20 per hour
Job Duties :
Instruct group exercise classes for all levels of participants according to active certifications . Effectively communicate with clients and physically be able to demonstrate proper form and technique related to fitness center activities and proper use of equipment . Provide fitness services described in MHF's Wellness /Fitness Guidelines and Administrative Policies under the discretion of a Wellness/Fitness Coordinator or Operations Manager . Provide routine maintenance and sanitation of existing exercise equipment. Notify facility management when necessary (in the absence of the Coordinator ) regarding facility cleanliness and repair . Ensure that supplies, equipment, files, and client records are maintained in properly secured storage . Provide basic operational and budget tracking reports as needed to the WF Coordinator or Operations Manager . Provide excellent written and oral communication skills when working with internal and external customers .
Minimum Requirements/Knowledge/Skills:
Three (3) years' experience in a corporate fitness or health club setting . Must exhibit professional written , oral , and non-verbal communication skills at all times . Must have the physical, visual, and auditory ability to perform the essential functions of the job . Must be able to safely lift at least 45 pounds .
Minimum Education Requirements/Certification/Licensure :
Bachelor's degree in a health, wellness, or exercise-related field .
