Seasonal Opportunities ◄ Back to All Categories Seasonal - Active Wellness Center Monitor This position is responsible to assist patrons to learn and use gym equipment at the Active Wellness Center located at Lake Lodge. The position is part-time and work hours are Monday-Friday from 12 - 4 PM. Previous experience in a gym setting or training in exercise physiology is preferred.

Job Duties:

Be familiar with AWC rules and regulations and ensure policies are followed by patrons. Orient new patrons to equipment and ensure safe usage of equipment by all patrons. Adhere to policies that ensure patron health information is kept confidential. Capable of designing and implementing individual exercise programs for patrons with consideration for: Health and fitness status Needs and goals Time they have to devote to the program The amount of supervision they may or may not need Risk factors that could contribute to injury Assist patrons with questions or concerns. Clean, organize and sanitize the AWC. Frequently lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds. Must have basic knowledge and training in exercise physiology and programming in a practical setting.

Desired Skills:

Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Maturity and ability to handle responsibility. Communication and cooperation with supervisors and fellow workers. Ability to perform tasks of nominal difficulty and acquire limited skills to do work of the department. Physical strength to stand, walk, bend, and stoop. Have or be willing to be learn first aid, CPR, and/or concussion safety.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will experience: Exposure to inside environmental conditions. Exposure to noise and fumes from cleaning products. Working around moving mechanical parts in close quarters. How to
