Job Description
Two openings. Auburn, California. Full-time or part-time. Student loan repayment through NHSC — this is an approved site. 9/80 schedule available — a full day off every two weeks. No nights. No weekends. No call. A well-established Tribal Federally Qualified Health Center serving Placer and Nevada counties is adding licensed behavioral health clinicians to its integrated primary care team in Auburn, CA. Roughly 50 years of continuous community service, about 25,000 active patients, and a third health center opening in 2027. Pure Heart Staffing is recruiting both seats directly for this employer. Pay by license type (employer starting-salary schedule) Licensed Psychologist — $118,800 to $153,000 LCSW — $91,400 to $110,000 LMFT — $80,200 to $96,000 Please read before applying — this is an on-site role in Auburn, California. Auburn is in Placer County, about 35 miles northeast of Sacramento in the Sierra foothills. There is no remote option, no hybrid option, and no telehealth-only version of this seat. You need to be able to reliably commute to Auburn or relocate there before your start date. Applications from candidates who cannot work on site in Auburn cannot be considered. Two openings, both in Auburn Seat one — Auburn, starting as soon as you are credentialed. Seat two — Auburn, starting February 2027. Full-time and part-time are both genuinely available Full-time (40 hours) — your choice of Monday to Friday, 8:00 to 5:00, or the 9/80 schedule : nine-hour days with one full day off every two weeks. Every one of the employer's current therapists works the 9/80. Part-time — 24 to 32 hours per week (0.6 to 0.8 FTE), and it can be structured as three full days. 24 hours per week is the floor — the employer is not filling this below 0.6 FTE. Part-time days run 8:00 to 5:00; the 9/80 is full-time only. No nights. No weekends. No call. Clinics close 12:00 to 1:00 for lunch. Why clinicians take this seat Student loan repayment. An approved NHSC site with a current mental-health HPSA score of 19. Higher HPSA scores receive funding priority, and the employer already has behavioral health clinicians on NHSC loan repayment contracts, including one working the 9/80. IHS and other federal and state programs are also in play. 100% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision for the employee at full-time. Dependent medical is 80% employer-paid. Integrated care, not a silo. Warm hand-offs down the hall from medical providers instead of referrals into the void. Short-term individual and family therapy, brief interventions, SBIRT, and real-time consultation to primary care. A stable 50-year organization that is growing, not contracting. Employer matches up to 6% of gross after one year of employment and 1,000 hours. $50,000 employer-paid term life with double-indemnity AD&D Long-term disability, plus voluntary short-term disability 17 days paid vacation annually, rising to 22 days at 4 years and 27 days at 9 years Sick time accrued at 1 hour per 30 hours worked 11 paid holidays — 10 scheduled, plus 1 floating holiday after the six-month introductory period. What you will do Psychosocial evaluations, screenings, and triage assessments, with routine PHQ-9, GAD-7, and risk assessments Individualized treatment plans with DSM-5 diagnosis, patient-centered goals, and skills training Short-term individual, family, and group therapy in 30-minute appointment blocks SBIRT assessments at the request of primary care providers Warm hand-offs, crisis intervention, and real-time consultation to primary care Same-day documentation in eClinicalWorks Care coordination, community referrals, and interdisciplinary case conferences Requirements Active, unrestricted California license — Licensed Psychologist, LCSW, or LMFT. Associate and registered-intern credentials (ASW, AMFT, APCC, psychology postdoc registration) do not meet the minimum for this seat. Three years of experience in a behavioral health program Clinical experience with adults, families, and children Working knowledge of, and the ability to relate to, the Indigenous community Comfortable documenting in an EHR; BLS certification, or able to obtain one before start Authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or in the future — this employer does not sponsor or transfer visas Credentialing takes roughly 45 to 60 days and must be complete before your start date What this employer hires for, beyond the license Mission and values alignment is not a formality here.
