Description Position Overview Allure Counseling Center is looking for a dedicated and experienced Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our dynamic team in Chula Vista, California. The role primarily focuses on treating conditions such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Work Environment This position is entirely remote, offering flexibility in your daily work routine. Our outpatient office collaboration empowers you to work closely with a multi-disciplinary team, ensuring comprehensive care for our patients. You will have access to teletherapy and in-person options, allowing for diverse therapeutic interventions based on patient needs. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate clients' trauma history and inform treatment approaches. Develop individualized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). Facilitate therapeutic sessions—both individually and in groups—to support clients in processing their trauma and building effective coping strategies. Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless integrated care for every patient. Provide timely crisis intervention and support for patients experiencing trauma-related emergencies. Educate clients and their family members about trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and available resources in the community. Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with relevant legal and ethical standards. Engage in regular case consultations, attend team meetings, and pursue opportunities for professional growth focused on trauma-informed care. Stay informed about the latest research, trends, and best practices in trauma therapy to enhance your clinical skills and effectiveness. Patient Population / Client Focus The therapist will primarily work with individuals who have experienced significant trauma, including complex PTSD, severe anxiety, and various dissociative disorders. Our clientele is diverse, and you will have the chance to work with individuals from various cultural and socio-economic backgrounds, all committed to their healing journey. Qualifications A Master's degree or higher in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. Current licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Psychologist, or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of California. Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a mental health counseling role, particularly focused on trauma-informed care. Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and the ability to implement trauma-informed treatment modalities. Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems and familiar with digital communication platforms for remote therapy. Exceptional interpersonal skills with a compassionate, patient-centered approach to care. Preferred Experience Experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions. Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment. Proven capacity to manage high-stress situations calmly and effectively. Compensation and Benefits We offer a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $110,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
