Position Overview We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our multidisciplinary treatment team. In this role, you will provide individual and group therapy, complete clinical assessments, participate in treatment planning, and collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, case managers, and other clinical professionals to support each client's recovery journey. This position also offers the opportunity to mentor Associate Therapists pursuing licensure, helping strengthen the next generation of clinicians while contributing to the continued growth of our clinical program. Clinical ResponsibilitiesDirect Client Care Provide individual psychotherapy to assigned clients. Facilitate psychoeducational and process groups (approximately 7-10 hours per week). Complete biopsychosocial assessments and ongoing clinical evaluations. Develop, update, and review individualized treatment plans. Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings. Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, case managers, and admissions personnel to coordinate comprehensive care. Assist with crisis intervention and client stabilization when necessary. Participate in discharge planning and continuity of care. Clinical Documentation Complete clinical documentation accurately and within required timeframes, including: Progress notes Treatment plans Discharge summaries Utilization review documentation Other required clinical records Clinical Leadership Qualified candidates may have opportunities to: Mentor Associate Marriage & Family Therapists (AMFTs) and other registered associates. Provide clinical guidance and support to developing clinicians. Review and co-sign documentation in accordance with California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) regulations. Promote quality assurance, ethical practice, and clinical consistency across the treatment team. Supervisory responsibilities will be based on experience, qualifications, and organizational needs. QualificationsRequired Active California Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT) license in good standing. Eligible to provide clinical supervision under California BBS regulations. Experience providing psychotherapy to adults with mental health and/or substance use disorders. Strong assessment, treatment planning, and documentation skills. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication abilities. Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Preferred One or more years of post-licensure clinical experience. Experience in residential treatment, detoxification, PHP, IOP, or behavioral health settings. Experience working with co-occurring disorders. Previous experience supervising Associate Therapists.
