Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist to join our dynamic mental health team. In this role, you will provide vital therapeutic services to individuals, couples, and families, fostering positive change and emotional well-being. You will work under supervision to develop treatment plans, conduct assessments, and deliver evidence-based interventions across diverse populations. Duties Conduct comprehensive intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine client needs and develop personalized treatment plans. Provide individual, group, family, and couples therapy utilizing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA). Implement crisis intervention strategies and manage emergency situations with professionalism and sensitivity. Collect and document clinical data accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality of medical records and documentation. Engage in case management activities, including coordination with other healthcare providers, community resources, and support systems to promote holistic patient care. Facilitate psychoeducation sessions tailored to clients' developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), PTSD, addiction issues, or other behavioral health concerns. Participate in clinical research initiatives and maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding for billing purposes, and diagnostic criteria for mental health conditions. Requirements Valid registration as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) or equivalent license in progress with the appropriate licensing board. Demonstrated experience working with children, adolescents, or individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder. Proficiency in psychotherapy techniques including motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral management, and crisis management. Knowledge of medical documentation standards such as HIPAA compliance and familiarity with ICD coding systems (ICD-9/10) for accurate diagnosis recording. Strong skills in patient assessment, data collection, case management, and clinical counseling across diverse populations. Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy while maintaining professional boundaries; experience working with individuals experiencing PTSD or addiction is a plus. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration within multidisciplinary teams and engagement with clients from varied backgrounds.
