Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Part-Time Group Therapist to join our dynamic mental health team. In this role, you will facilitate group therapy sessions aimed at supporting individuals facing various mental health challenges, including trauma, mood and anxiety disorders, eating disorders, and related conditions. This position is considered "half time" and is 20 hours per week. Duties Lead engaging group therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-focused therapy, and psychodynamic therapy. Develop and implement tailored treatment plans aligned with clinical documentation standards and patient assessment findings. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care for clients with complex needs, including those with developmental disabilities or co-occurring disorders. Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and intake evaluations to inform group session content and individual treatment strategies. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in electronic health records (EHR/EMR), including progress notes, treatment plans, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), and medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Manage crisis situations effectively through crisis intervention techniques and crisis management protocols to ensure client safety. Engage in ongoing professional development by participating in clinical research, case reviews, and supervision to enhance therapeutic skills and stay current with best practices. Participate in chef-prepared meals with clients as part of the therapeutic milieu, modeling normalized eating behaviors and supporting clients during meal experiences. Experience Proven experience working with adolescents and adults in higher levels of care. Demonstrated expertise in psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, or other expressive modalities. Prior experience conducting group therapy sessions within inpatient or outpatient environments is highly desirable. Experience working with neurodivergent individuals is preferred but not necessary. Experience with eating disorder groups preferred but not necessary. Ability to manage crisis situations involving PTSD care, grief counseling, addiction counseling, or trauma-focused therapy effectively. Strong understanding of clinical ethical guidelines such as HIPAA compliance and confidentiality standards necessary for patient care. Understanding of Health At Every Size and Intuitive Eating principles Willingness to provide meal support 2-3x a week. Educational Requirements A minimum of a master's degree in mental health counseling, marriage and family therapy or social work. Licensure not required but preferred. Background Screening Requirement Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a Level II background screening through the Florida Background Screening Clearinghouse, as required by state regulation.
