Job Description

School-Based Mental Health Therapist Therapeutic Innovations, PLLC is seeking a highly motivated school-based therapist to provide exceptional mental health therapy to area students and families. The ideal candidate will advocate for clients and mental health within the Vinton-Shellsburg Community School District. This therapist must be consistent with their scheduling, be able to pay close attention to detail, and follow expectations in a timely manner. This therapist must be able to complete documentation within 48 hours of each session, as well as have an understanding of Google Workspace, or the willingness to learn Google Workspace. This therapist must be willing to provide mental health services to children and adolescents under the age of 18. Responsibilities and Qualifications The responsibility of this school-based therapist is to provide clinical services to elementary aged children and their families. Candidates must have experience working with children who are experiencing mental illness as well as completing diagnostic assessments, treatment planning, and record-keeping as per HIPAA standards. This therapist must abide by all ethical expectations. Therapeutic Innovations, PLLC is contracted with the Vinton-Shellsburg Community School District. Our school-based therapist is responsible for providing services related to the delivery of mental health care to assigned clients at the designated school location and will provide consultation services to the school staff to support the overall mental health goals of the school district. This school-based therapist may also provide therapeutic services to not only students but school staff as needed. All sessions will be completed at their assigned school building(s). Strong communication and working relationships with all school staff and administration is expected. This is a year-round position. Competitive billable hours pay. Each candidate must be licensed in the State of Iowa (fully or provisionally) and in good standing with licensing board:
LMHC, LISW, LMFT
Individuals with temporary licenses (tLMHC, LMSW, tLMFT) and working towards full licensure in Iowa are encouraged to apply! Supervision provided at no cost to the supervisee. Each therapist must maintain their own professional liability insurance policy. Therapeutic Innovations provides billing, referrals, and administrative support with competitive pay, in addition to free monthly clinical supervision (individual/group) if needed. $45.00 - $100.00 per hour
