Job Description:
Work Hours/Shift The relief positions are daytime hours 0800-1630, various days, preferred weekends.
  • Assesses presenting problem, formulates clinical impressions, and completes psychosocial history.
  • Prioritizes clinical problems, formulates treatment goals and facilitates construction of treatment plan, updating based on continuous evaluation and assessment of progress.
  • Formulates discharge plan in collaboration with the multidisciplinary treatment team, the patient and the family. Plans and conducts individual, group and family therapy with patients and families.
  • Documents patient treatment using Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
  • Consults on clinical issues with physicians, treatment teams, directors, and other department personnel. Acts as a liaison between patients, hospitals, and community agencies to ensure coordinated care.
  • Provides clinical information and documentation to managed care organizations during precertification and concurrent reviews, advocating for patients based on clinical presentation.
  • Manages crisis situations by quickly appraising the situation and selecting appropriate interventions. Identifies and intervenes in cases of suspected abuse with sensitivity to age-specific concerns.
  • Assists in the orientation of new team members. Provides high-quality service through positive interpersonal relations and outstanding customer service during all interactions.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of involuntary commitment process.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Awareness of therapeutic boundaries and ability to monitor transference within the therapeutic relationship. [Required]
  • Patient-centered approach with ability to connect with each patient. [Required]
  • Clinical supervision of master's prepared individuals working towards clinical licensure.

Field of Study:
    N/A Work Experience:
    • 5+ position-related experience [Required]
    • Experience providing individual, group and family therapy [Required]
    • Experience with assessment, treatment planning, documentation, and discharge planning [Required]
    • Experience with cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, motivational interviewing, and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing [Preferred]
    • Experience with community resources [Required]
    • Experience with crisis intervention [Required]
    • Experience working with a continuum of care including inpatient and intensive outpatient programs [Required]
    • Experience working with a multi-disciplinary team [Required]
    • Experience working with a variety of psychiatric and addiction disorders, patient populations, and levels of acuity [Required]
    • Supervisory experience of team members [Preferred]

    Licenses and Certifications:
    • Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker (LSCSW), or Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist (LCMFT), or Licensed Clinical Psychotherapist (LCP)
