Our Brands The Therapeutic Day Treatment (TDT) Therapis t is responsible for providing therapeutic services to children and adolescents in a structured day treatment setting. The therapist will work with clients to address emotional, behavioral, and mental health issues, with the goal of improving their overall functioning in school, home, and community environments. This role includes individual, group, and family therapy, as well as coordination with schools and other community services. The therapist may also provide outpatient therapy services, offering individual and family counseling in an outpatient setting.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Assessment and Evaluation:
Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments to determine the needs and appropriate treatment for each client. Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the client, family, and treatment team.
Therapeutic Interventions:
Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions, using therapeutic techniques to address a variety of mental health issues. Implement therapeutic interventions as outlined in the treatment plan, focusing on helping clients develop coping skills, emotional regulation, and positive behaviors.
Case Management:
Coordinate with schools, families, and other community services to support the client's treatment plan. Serve as a liaison between the client, family, school, and other involved professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to treatment.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all therapeutic services provided, including treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries. Ensure that all documentation meets state licensing requirements, Medicaid standards, COA standards, and organizational policies.
Crisis Intervention:
Provide crisis intervention services as needed, including the development of safety plans and coordination with emergency services.
Collaboration and Team Meetings:
Participate in treatment team meetings to discuss client progress, treatment strategies, and any necessary adjustments to the treatment plan. Collaborate with teachers, school counselors, and other staff to support the client's therapeutic goals within the school setting. Serve as main point of contact to promote and receive referrals within the school environment.
Clinical Supervision:
As a licensed clinician working for Health Connect America your NPI number will be used to bill for services performed by those being supervised by you. As a licensed clinician you will be responsible for ensuring that your credentials remain current, you comply with all training requirements, and you are adequately supervising your staff.
Professional Development:
Stay current with best practices, new treatment modalities, and emerging trends in the field of child and adolescent mental health. Participate in ongoing training, workshops, and professional development opportunities.
If Professionally Licensed:
As a licensed clinician working for Health Connect America your NPI number will be used to bill for services performed by those being supervised by you. As a licensed clinician you will be responsible for ensuring that your credentials remain current, you comply with all training requirements, and you are adequately supervising your staff. Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or related field. Two years' experience working with children, which may include internships or volunteer work is preferred. Must be eligible for professional licensure as a LPC, LMFT, or LCSW in the state of
MS OR MS DMH
