Otter House Wellness — Asheville, NC | In-Person | Full-Time | $55,000-$65,000/year Otter House Wellness (OHW) is hiring a fully licensed LCSW or LCMHC to join our clinical team, providing primary therapy to adults across our SACOT (Substance Abuse Comprehensive Outpatient Treatment) , SAIOP (Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient) , and Mental Health PHP programs. We are currently in process of building a virtual programming option as well. We're a growing behavioral health program, but we're intentional about how we grow. At OHW, therapists aren't treated like interchangeable providers or documentation machines. We believe good clinical work happens when therapists feel supported, clear on expectations, and trusted to use their judgment. This role is a good fit for someone who wants meaningful clinical work, steady structure, and a team that communicates well and has your back. What You'll Be Doing As a Primary Therapist, you'll carry a reasonable primary caseload and own the core clinical work with your clients: Serve as the primary therapist for assigned clients across SACOT, SAIOP, and PHP programming Review referral information and prior assessments to understand risk, barriers, and treatment needs Write clear clinical summaries that actually reflect the client, not just check boxes Create and maintain measurable, individualized treatment plans with clients Provide individual therapy at least once per week (more when clinically indicated) Facilitate or co-facilitate group therapy within a structured schedule Coordinate closely with clinical leadership, medical providers, and the treatment team Address behavioral concerns with appropriate boundaries and evidence-informed interventions Communicate with family or supports when clinically indicated and authorized Complete documentation accurately and on time, with clear expectations and support Participate in supervision, consultation, and training to keep growing as a clinician What It's Like to Work Here We're a team-oriented program that values professionalism, communication, and steady clinical work — not chaos, and not "figure it out yourself" onboarding. Clinicians who thrive here tend to value: Clear clinical standards and expectations Consistent access to supervision and leadership A culture that prioritizes quality work over volume Documentation requirements that are defined and reasonable A workplace that actively works to prevent burnout, rather than reacting to it
