Pay :
Therapists are paid per treatment. Health insurance benefits and PTO are available to full-time therapists. The Mental Health Therapist… Qualifications Must be a licensed Mental Health Therapist able to practice in the state of North Carolina. 1-2 years of clinical experience Strong communication skills - verbal and written. Basic computer skills and the ability to communicate via email with attachments and encryptions. Excellent time management skills Ability to complete treatment documentation quickly and thoroughly Ability to work independently. If therapists' goal is to utilize equine interactions horse experience is preferred. However all sessions incorporating equines will also include an Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning provided for by Shining Hope Farms. Working Conditions The therapist has the following options for treatment: an indoor treatment room, indoor and outdoor spaces if equine interactions are utilized, on-property nature trails, a natural farm environment, and other enriching nature-based options. Should equine interactions be utilized, each individual session will includes no more than 45 minutes of equine interaction.
Responsibilities:
(shall include, but are not limited to) Facilitating individually tailored therapy sessions for individuals, groups, and/or families using evidence-based approaches. Performing assessments of patients. Accurately completing and maintaining required documentation and case notes per Shining Hope Farms policy and state-issued minimum standards including daily treatment plan updates and progress notes within 24 hours of the date of service. Communicating and working with the interdisciplinary team and direct care staff to ensure the therapeutic needs of the clients are met and to determine the best practice for meeting those needs. Developing, conducting and monitoring appropriate therapeutic tasks, to assist each client in accomplishing their treatment goals. Leading and participating in groups with brokered Shining Hope Farms' potential partnerships across our demographic region. Entering billing, assessment and treatment information in the billing program in a timely manner. Maintaining your workspace appropriately Working in conjunction with administrative staff to maintain a weekly schedule which should include a consistent client caseload. This requires communicating cancellations as soon as possible so that corresponding staff members can be notified.

Compensation is structured as a Bundled Piece-Rate for clinical sessions, paired with an Enhanced Administrative Hourly Rate designed to reward and support the extra time required for intensive clinical documentation. 1.

piece-rate (i.e. flat fee) starting at $55 per session per full private session with pro-rated adjustments for sessions less than 53-minutes 2.
Enhanced Documentation & Administrative Rate:
$20 per hour Clinical Time Private Session Piece Rate This is a comprehensive rate designed to cover both your direct patient-facing time and the routine daily documentation (SOAP notes) associated with that session.

Therefore, we provide an additional hourly rate specifically to compensate therapists for the extra work behind intensive documentation and organizational responsibilities.
