Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The RBT will work directly with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, implementing behavior intervention plans designed to improve their quality of life. This role requires a strong understanding of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles, as well as the ability to manage behaviors effectively in various settings. The ideal candidate will be passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of those they serve. Responsibilities Implement individualized treatment plans based on applied behavior analysis techniques. Conduct direct one-on-one therapy sessions with clients, focusing on skill acquisition and behavior management. Monitor and document client progress, ensuring accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed. Collaborate with supervisors and other team members to adjust treatment plans based on client needs and progress. Maintain a safe and supportive environment for clients, promoting positive behaviors and reducing challenging behaviors. Engage in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices in behavior analysis. Experience Previous experience working with children or individuals with autism and developmental disabilities is preferred. Familiarity with special education principles and practices is a plus. Knowledge of medical terminology and documentation standards is beneficial. Experience in behavior management strategies is essential. A background in applied behavior analysis techniques is highly desirable. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective interaction with clients, families, and team members.
