Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Intensive In-Home Counselor - Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) to provide comprehensive behavioral health services directly within clients' homes and community settings. Implement crisis intervention strategies promptly to de-escalate situations and ensure client safety during behavioral or emotional episodes. Engage families and caregivers through child & family counseling sessions, providing education on behavior management, coping skills, and community resources. Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) management in compliance with HIPAA regulations while documenting patient care, assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes diligently. Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to foster client motivation for change and enhance engagement in treatment processes. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including case managers, medical professionals, educators, and community agencies to coordinate care plans effectively. Manage conflict resolution scenarios with professionalism and cultural competency to support diverse client populations. Collect data on client progress and adjust interventions accordingly to optimize therapeutic outcomes. Qualifications Valid QMHP certification or equivalent licensure demonstrating qualification for mental health counseling roles. Proven experience working with children with disabilities, developmental delays, or neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Strong background in behavioral health therapies including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), applied behavior analysis (ABA), trauma-informed care (PTSD Care), and crisis management. Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and electronic health records (EHR) systems aligned with HIPAA standards. Experience working in home-based settings with children or youth requiring behavioral health support. Excellent skills in conflict management, client communication, case management, and family engagement. Knowledge of cultural competency principles to serve diverse populations effectively. Ability to perform child & youth therapy sessions while adhering to clinical documentation standards. Demonstrated ability to handle crisis situations swiftly while maintaining a calm demeanor under pressure.
