Job Description

UPMC is seeking a Supervisor Behavioral Health Therapy to lead a team of therapists delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. In this leadership role, you will provide clinical supervision, oversee caseloads and documentation, and ensure use of evidence-based interventions across inpatient and outpatient settings. You'll collaborate with physicians, nurses, and care managers, drive quality improvement initiatives, and support staff development within UPMC's mission-driven, innovative, and academically focused behavioral health programs. Responsibilities Supervise a team of behavioral health therapists supporting diverse patient populations Provide clinical oversight, case consultation, and ensure adherence to evidence-based practices Coordinate intakes, treatment planning, and discharge processes to support quality outcomes Monitor productivity, documentation quality, and regulatory compliance Collaborate with physicians, nursing, and care management to integrate behavioral health services Support staff development through coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations Assist with program development, quality improvement, and outcome measurement initiatives Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and communicate updates to leadership Required Skills Clinical supervision Behavioral health assessment Treatment planning Evidence-based therapy modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT) Crisis intervention Electronic health records (EHR) documentation Regulatory and compliance knowledge (HIPAA, Joint Commission) Interdisciplinary care coordination Performance management and staff coaching Quality improvement and outcomes monitoring
