The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various therapeutic modalities and have experience working with diverse populations, including children and individuals with developmental disabilities. The Therapist will be responsible for providing high-quality mental health counseling, crisis intervention, and support to clients in both individual and group settings. Duties Conduct comprehensive assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine client needs. Provide psychotherapy and counseling services utilizing techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and psychodynamic therapy. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each client's unique circumstances. Facilitate group therapy sessions focused on topics such as grief counseling, addiction counseling, and behavioral management. Offer crisis intervention and management strategies to clients in need of immediate support. Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ICD coding standards. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and case management. Engage in clinical research and data collection to enhance therapeutic practices. Provide telehealth services as needed, ensuring accessibility for clients unable to attend in-person sessions. Skills Proficiency in psychotherapy techniques including cognitive behavioral therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and psychodynamic therapy. Experience with child & family counseling, crisis intervention, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities. Familiarity with ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems for accurate medical documentation. Strong background in mental health counseling, patient assessment, and clinical research methodologies. Ability to work effectively with diverse populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, individuals with autism, and those facing chronic pain issues. Knowledge of behavioral health practices including applied behavior analysis and behavior management strategies. Excellent communication skills for individual/group counseling sessions as well as crisis management situations. Understanding of medical terminology related to mental health care.
