Work Environment This role offers a primarily remote work environment, designed to provide our therapists with a flexible schedule while maintaining access to a collaborative team atmosphere. Our outpatient office in Newark is equipped with modern technology to facilitate virtual therapy sessions. We utilize telehealth platforms to ensure that our clients receive consistent and quality care, regardless of their location. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clients' mental health statuses and emotional well-being, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of their needs. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that are specifically tailored to meet each client's unique goals and requirements. Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions to provide effective individual, family, and group therapy sessions. Monitor and track clients' progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on ongoing evaluations and client feedback. Offer crisis intervention and support, addressing urgent client needs while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism. Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring a high level of integrity in documentation. Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of professionals, including psychiatrists and social workers, to provide comprehensive care and holistic support for clients. Stay informed on the latest developments in mental health treatment, research, and best practices through continuous education and peer discussions. Participate in regular supervision and training opportunities aimed at enhancing clinical skills and therapeutic approaches. Adhere to ethical guidelines and professional standards set forth by applicable licensing boards and organizations. Patient Population / Client Focus This position involves working with a diverse population of clients with a variety of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Qualifications A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required. Current and valid state licensure as a Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LPC, or LCSW) is essential. Proven clinical assessment and diagnostic skills to deliver tailored interventions effectively.
