Job Description
Job Summary MindSpa Therapy & Counseling is a thriving private practice that fosters a culture of excellence—not only for our clients but for our therapists as well. We are expanding and seeking energetic, compassionate, and dedicated Licensed Psychotherapists (LSW & LCSW only) to join our team in East Brunswick, NJ . This is a full-time contract (1099), fee-for-service hybrid position (not W-2 employment) —though part‑time may also be considered— and offers meaningful opportunities for professional growth within a supportive and collaborative environment. As a Licensed Psychotherapist at MindSpa, you will provide individual, couples, and/or family counseling, offer mental health support, and work with clients from diverse backgrounds. Learn more about us at mindspatherapy.net Responsibilities Conduct individual counseling sessions and provide evidence-based individual treatment to clients to address mental health issues. Use measurement-based care to inform treatment planning. Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to engage clients effectively. Provide specialized counseling for gender issues and developmental disabilities. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of client progress and treatment plans in a timely manner. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for clients. Apply behavioral analysis techniques to develop tailored treatment strategies for clients. Provide feedback training protocols/ methodologies. Participate in initial and ongoing trainings on the application of evidence-based and tech-enhanced care delivery Maintain awareness of risk management issues. Qualifications Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field from an accredited institution. Valid Licensed Social Worker licensure (LSW) or LCSW in NJ . At least a year of experience providing psychotherapy in a private practice or community mental health center (can include internship). Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds. Knowledge of mental health conditions, treatments, and ethical practices Strong organizational skills for maintaining medical records and documentation.
