Job Description

Position Overview Theraluma is seeking compassionate, dependable, and collaborative Licensed Mental Health Therapists to join our growing outpatient practice. This opportunity is ideal for clinicians interested in outpatient private practice, experienced professionals seeking a flexible caseload, or therapists looking to expand their clinical experience. In-person availability at our Christiansburg office is preferred. Eligible Licenses Applicants must hold an active, unrestricted Virginia license as one of the following: Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) Responsibilities Provide outpatient mental health therapy to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and/or families based on areas of competence Complete intake assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and other required clinical documentation in compliance to DSM-V standards Maintain timely and accurate client records utilizing EHR/EMR Coordinate care with families, healthcare providers, schools, and community professionals when clinically appropriate and authorized Maintain professional boundaries, confidentiality, and ethical standards Follow applicable federal and Virginia laws, licensing regulations, and practice policies Participate in consultation and practice collaboration as appropriate Manage an agreed-upon caseload and maintain reliable client availability Qualifications Active, unrestricted LPC, LCSW, or LMFT license in Virginia Master's degree in counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy, or a related clinical field Complete a background check Professional liability insurance Strong clinical documentation, communication, and organizational skills Ability to work independently within a 1099 contractor arrangement Commitment to ethical, trauma-informed, and client-centered care In-person availability in Christiansburg is preferred Experience working with the following areas and populations is preferred: children, adolescents, families, trauma, sensory-processing needs, foster or adoptive families, grief and loss, elder care, chronic pain, eating disorders, veterans and military service members.
