Hybrid (approximately half in-office, half telehealth) About Hakuna Wellness Center Hakuna Wellness Center is an outpatient mental health and addiction treatment practice serving North Carolina. We provide individual therapy, intakes, and ongoing clinical care in a professional, welcoming setting. We are hiring licensed and associate-level therapists to complete intakes and provide follow-on therapy sessions in person and via telehealth. Position Summary We are seeking an LCSW, LCSWA, LCMHC, or LCMHCA to join our clinical team as an independent contractor. You will complete therapy intakes, provide ongoing individual therapy, document in TherapyNotes, and maintain a caseload of 15-30 clients per week . This is a hybrid 1099 role : roughly half of your time in our New Bern, Clayton or Havelock office and half via telehealth. Essential Duties Complete comprehensive therapy intakes for new clients Provide ongoing individual therapy sessions after intake Maintain a caseload of a minimum of 15 clients per week and up to a maximum of 30 clients per week Document all clinical work promptly and accurately in TherapyNotes Deliver care in a hybrid model: in-office in New Bern, Clayton & Havelock and telehealth Communicate professionally with clients, staff, and referral sources Follow all Hakuna Wellness Center policies, clinical standards, and applicable licensing/ethical guidelines Maintain current licensure, supervision (if associate-level), and required credentials Participate in required meetings, training, and coordination of care as assigned Qualifications Required Active North Carolina license as one of the following: LCSW or LCSWA LCMHC or LCMHCA Ability and willingness to complete intakes and ongoing therapy Proficiency with, or ability to quickly learn, TherapyNotes EHR Ability to work a hybrid schedule (in-office New Bern, Clayton or Havelock + telehealth) Professional presentation and communication with all clients Commitment to following company policies and clinical documentation standards Reliable internet, private telehealth space, and ability to travel to assigned office location Preferred Prior experience with insurance-based outpatient therapy Experience with mental health and/or substance use populations Established comfort with hybrid/in-person and telehealth care Compensation & Classification This is a 1099 independent contractor position. Associate-level clinicians (LCSWA / LCMHCA): 50% of reimbursed insurance Fully licensed clinicians (LCSW / LCMHC): 60% of reimbursed insurance Pay is based on insurance reimbursement received for services billed. Contractors are responsible for their own taxes, insurance, and professional expenses unless otherwise agreed in writing.
