Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Mental Health Therapist to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive mental health services, including psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and case management, to diverse populations across outpatient settings. Your expertise will help individuals and families navigate mental health challenges, promote recovery, and improve overall well-being. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments, including diagnostic evaluations using
ICD-10-CM
coding system, to determine appropriate treatment plans. Deliver individual, group, and family therapy sessions utilizing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, movement therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA). Implement crisis management strategies and crisis intervention techniques to ensure patient safety during acute episodes. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop personalized treatment plans that incorporate social work principles, psychopharmacology insights, and behavioral management strategies. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, including detailed notes on patient care, medical terminology, and progress reports. Provide specialized counseling for issues such as grief, addiction, PTSD, gender identity concerns, chronic pain management, autism spectrum disorders, developmental disabilities, geriatrics, and special education needs. Utilize telehealth platforms to expand access to mental health services while ensuring quality patient care remotely. Must be a in a Master Program (Students welcome) or have graduated from Master Program and assoicate level or higher. Requirements Valid licensure or certification as aAMFT, CSW, LCSW, LMFT, LMHC, MCHC
(assoicate) or equivalent credentialing recognized in the field. Interns/Practicum students are also welcome to apply Proven experience in psychotherapy techniques including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, group therapy, and behavior management. Strong knowledge ofICD-9/ICD-10
coding systems for diagnostic evaluation and medical documentation purposes. Experience working with children, adolescents, adults, or geriatrics in outpatient settings. Open to working in different settings. In this practice the settings include in-home, office, and telehealth. Demonstrated ability to handle crisis situations effectively through crisis intervention and crisis management skills. Familiarity with telehealth technology platforms for remote patient engagement. Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across disciplines such as social work, medical staff, educators, and family members. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and best practices for maintaining confidentiality in medical records and patient data collection. Additional skills in addiction counseling, grief counseling, working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and experience in special education or pediatrics are preferred.
