Job Description

Wholehearted Counseling Services is Looking for Outpatient Therapists! (LMSW, LLMSW, LPC, LLP, LMFT) Grand Rapids, MI Office & Telehealth Opportunities Available Email resume to Natalielmsw1@gmail.com Why I Started Wholehearted Counseling Services Whether you're newly licensed or you've been practicing for years, I know choosing where to build your career is a big decision. I appreciate you taking the time to learn a little about mine. When I opened Wholehearted Counseling Services six years ago, I was simply trying to create the kind of practice I believed both clients and therapists deserved. Over the course of my career, I've worked in addiction treatment, crisis services, foster care, behavioral health leadership, and private practice. I've had the privilege of walking alongside people during some of the hardest seasons of their lives, and I've learned something that continues to shape the way I practice today: Healing isn't linear. People don't simply 'finish therapy' and never need support again. Life changes. Relationships change. Families change. People grow. Sometimes they struggle. Sometimes they come back. And I think that's beautiful. One of the things I'm most proud of at Wholehearted Counseling Services is that our clients know they always have a place to return to. Whether it's been six months or six years, our message is always the same: 'Come. Have a seat. Let's chat.' There's no shame in needing support again. That's simply part of being human. That philosophy doesn't just shape how we care for our clients. It shapes how we care for each other. Why I'm Growing One thing I've learned over the past six years is that building a practice isn't really about growing a business—it's about building relationships. Those relationships with my clients have been the most meaningful part of this journey, and they've allowed Wholehearted Counseling Services to grow in ways I never expected. As the practice has grown, I've realized I can't hold all of this goodness on my own anymore. And honestly, that's a really exciting realization. It means it's time to invite others into something that's been built with a lot of care, intention, and heart. I'm not looking for someone to simply take referrals or fill a schedule. I'm looking for someone who genuinely enjoys this work. Someone who's curious about people, believes in lifelong learning, and understands that meaningful change doesn't happen because we have all the answers—it happens because we're willing to sit with people through the hard moments and help them find their own. If you're someone who values relationships, collaboration, and showing up authentically for both clients and colleagues, I think you'll feel at home here. That's the kind of culture I'm building. What Makes Wholehearted Different? Although addiction treatment is one of our specialties, we intentionally welcome clinicians with diverse backgrounds, specialties, and therapeutic approaches. As we continue to grow, I envision a team that collaborates, refers clients internally, and provides comprehensive care to the people we serve. Throughout my career, I've seen many therapists feel forced to choose between complete independence and meaningful professional support. I don't believe they should have to. Wholehearted Counseling Services was created to offer both.

We believe in inspiring change, supporting growth, and never giving up on the people who trust us with their stories. That commitment has become the heart of our culture—and one of the reasons most of our referrals come through word of mouth. What You Can Expect from Me as Your Clinical Leader I'll personally meet with prospective clients and thoughtfully match referrals to your clinical strengths. I'll handle credentialing, billing, insurance issues, EAPs, and many of the behind-the-scenes responsibilities that can make private practice feel overwhelming. I'll provide supervision to limited licensed clinicians. You'll have access to individual consultation whenever you need another perspective. We'll meet regularly for group consultation—not because you have to, but because learning together makes us better clinicians. I actively market the practice and build referral relationships throughout our community. You'll have the autonomy to build your own clinical identity and specialty while being part of a collaborative team. I'll communicate with clients regarding financial matters so you can preserve your therapeutic rapport. Who Thrives Here? You might love it here if: You believe great therapy begins with authentic relationships. You want the freedom to practice in a way that feels true to who you are. You enjoy learning from and collaborating with other therapists. You appreciate feedback without feeling micromanagement. You believe supporting therapists leads to better client care. You enjoy working with adults through life's difficult seasons. You want the freedom to build your own LLC and express your unique clinical style. You value supervision and consultation—but not handholding. You want to spend your energy caring for clients instead of managing the administrative side of private practice. If you found yourself nodding while reading this, we'd probably enjoy working together. Compensation & Support We strive to offer a compensation model that reflects both experience and commitment to the practice.
LLMSW:
55/45 (~$70/hour) LMSW (Part-Time): 65/35 (~$85/hour) LMSW (Full-Time): 70/30 (~$91/hour) In addition to competitive compensation, you'll receive office space, consultation, supervision, administrative support, credentialing, billing, referral generation, and the opportunity to be part of a collaborative, supportive team. Let's Build Something Meaningful Together Whether you're newly licensed or an experienced clinician looking for a different kind of practice, I'd love the opportunity to get to know you. My hope isn't simply to hire therapists—it's to build a team of compassionate professionals who support one another, continue growing together, and make a lasting impact in our community. I hope you'll consider becoming part of Wholehearted Counseling Services.
