Work Environment This position allows for a remote work setting, providing you the flexibility to manage your schedule while ensuring access to the resources and support needed for effective case management and therapy provision. The work schedule is typically Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with the possibility of occasional evening shifts to accommodate patient needs. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough mental health assessments of children and adolescents to identify their specific needs and challenges. Create and implement individualized treatment plans that account for developmental stages, cultural backgrounds, and family dynamics. Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions to treat a variety of mental health conditions in young clients. Facilitate family therapy sessions aimed at empowering parents and caregivers to foster healthy emotional environments. Engage in crisis intervention protocols to address urgent mental health emergencies involving youth. Educate patients and their families about mental health issues, available treatment options, and local community resources to promote informed decision-making. Maintain detailed and confidential records in accordance with legal and ethical guidelines, using our electronic health record (EHR) system. Participate actively in team meetings and case consultations to enhance collaborative care efforts. Stay updated with the latest research, methodologies, and best practices in child and adolescent mental health. Patient Population / Client Focus Your primary focus will be on children and adolescents dealing with complex mental health issues. You will work closely with patients aged 5 to 18, using a compassionate and child-centered approach to build rapport and trust. The work may involve addressing disorders such as ADHD, anxiety, depression, and various behavioral challenges, with the goal of promoting positive mental health and development for our youth while engaging their families in the therapeutic process. Qualifications A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMFT, or LMHC in the state of New York. Access to a minimum of two years of post-licensure experience, preferred in child and adolescent settings. Comprehensive understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders and various treatment modalities. Demonstrated experience providing both individual and family therapy to young clients. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, complemented by a capacity for empathy and understanding. Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and comfortable with digital communications. A collaborative mindset, ready to work alongside a multidisciplinary team comprised of diverse professionals. Preferred Experience Two years of clinical experience working with children and adolescents in a mental health setting. Familiarity with various evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Family Therapy. Compensation and Benefits The position offers a competitive salary ranging from
USD 75,000
to 100,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
