Job Description

Hello, I am a neurodivergent and queer therapist specializing in mindfulness, somatics, kids and families, and the queer, autistic, and dissociative disorder populations. I am looking for 1 or 2 other similar therapists to add to my small private practice. I am hoping to find a FULLY licensed (LCSW or LPC) therapist, ideally who is LGBTQ, POC, Neurodivergent, or another relevant lived experience, as we work primarily with marginalized populations. If you have a client base already and would be able to bring clients with you that would be awesome! Ideal relevant experiences includes but is not limited to- Somatic experiencing Mindfulness Expressive arts therapies Play therapy Queer and trans focused therapy Autistic, ADHD, and other Neurodivergent focused therapies PTSD, trauma, and Dissociative disorders focused therapies I posted previously and have copy/pasted the previous add with necessary changes as I am no longer able to accept candidates who are not fully licensed. Texting is the best way to reach me- 717-fivehundred-1403 Unfortunately I am not yet able to provide any benefits. But I am planning to do so in the future. Salary is dependent on the factors of how many clients you wish to see and reimbursement rates from insurance. Individuals of marginalized identities such as women, POC, LGBTQ, and Neurodivergent are HIGHLY encouraged to apply. Overview I am the sole proprietor of a small private practice. Currently offering 1 on 1 mental health counseling, I specialize in mindfulness, somatic work, play therapy, and the autistic, DID, ADHD and LGBTQ communities. I also run a yearly musical at local churches, a therapeutic summer camp, and a community garden out of my home. Nothing About Us Without Us (NAUWU) is a very eclectic, social work, community building organization, and I am looking for like minded individuals to join me in making central PA a more peaceful and social justice minded area. Responsibilities I am hoping to find individuals interested in joining me with building the business from the ground up. This position would require a lot of hard work, as the business is fairly new. I am also currently looking into making the business a workers co-op. This means that if we decide to move forward with making NAUWU a workers co-op, you would be an owner of the business along with me, all decisions would be made jointly by discussion and by vote, including salary and any other financial decisions. Responsibilities would include seeing clients through insurance and/or self pay, creating treatment plans, keeping up with relevant professional development, and other related job duties to the role of an outpatient mental health counselor. Depending on your skills and interest, you would also be encouraged to explore our yearly social justice themed musical, community garden, and summer camp. But these are not mandatory job requirements. Experience Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related mental health field from an accredited program. Valid licensure or certification appropriate for clinical counseling or social work practice (e.g., LMSW, LCSW, LMHC).
