Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Trauma & Depression Therapist to join our outpatient intensive treatment program. Washington Area Clinical Center (WACC) is growing, and we're excited to launch our new Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) . We're looking for compassionate clinicians who want to be part of building something new while continuing to provide outpatient therapy. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with adults experiencing trauma, depression, anxiety, and other mood-related concerns, and who is interested in both group therapy and individual counseling . Whether you already have group therapy experience or are looking to grow in that area, we'd love to hear from you. What You'll Do Facilitate therapeutic groups as part of our IOP. Provide individual therapy sessions. Complete assessments, treatment plans, and clinical documentation. Work closely with therapists, psychiatric providers, and our clinical team. Participate in treatment team meetings. Help clients work toward their treatment goals while providing quality, compassionate care. We're Looking For Someone Who Enjoys working as part of a team. Has an interest in trauma, depression, anxiety, and mood disorders. Is comfortable providing both in-person and telehealth services. Is organized, communicates well, and enjoys building relationships with clients. Is excited about helping develop a new program. Experience leading groups is a plus, but it's not required. Qualifications Current licensure as a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC), Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), or Licensed Graduate Marriage & Family Therapist (LGMFT). Must be licensed in the state of Maryland or willing to obtain MD licensure. Demonstrated experience in psychotherapy with children, adolescents, or adults dealing with trauma, depression, PTSD care, or co-occurring disorders. Proficiency in therapeutic modalities such as trauma-focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, group therapy, and behavior management techniques. Strong skills in crisis intervention, crisis management, patient assessment, and clinical documentation standards. Knowledge of
