Are you comfortable leading practical CPR and AED training for groups of up to 50 people? The role We are looking for an experienced CPR and AED Instructor to deliver American Heart Association-certified training to Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps personnel. Based at Maxwell Air Force Base or Gunter Annex in Alabama, this part-time 1099 contract role offers the chance to deliver meaningful training that helps AFROTC staff respond calmly and effectively in an emergency. You will deliver nine two-hour sessions each fiscal year. Training dates, times, and class sizes will be confirmed at least 30 days in advance. The initial contract runs from September 1, 2026, through August 31, 2027, with the possibility of four additional option years. Key Responsibilities Deliver engaging CPR and AED training to AFROTC Detachment Commanders and staff Teach an American Heart Association-certified course Use clear demonstrations, video content, and practical instruction Lead classes of up to 50 participants Provide the equipment, supplies, and materials needed for each session Create a professional and supportive learning environment Follow all military base access, identification, safety, and privacy requirements Clearly identify yourself as a contractor when working with Government personnel The Benefits A limited schedule of nine sessions per year No travel requirements At least 30 days' notice before each session Government-provided training space and audiovisual equipment The potential for four contract extensions Meaningful work with a clear purpose The person You will need: Experience delivering CPR and AED training The expertise required to teach an American Heart Association-certified course Confidence presenting to groups of up to 50 people Strong communication and practical demonstration skills The ability to provide all required training materials and equipment Reliable transportation to Maxwell AFB or Gunter Annex A professional and dependable approach No security clearance is required, although you must meet all base access and identification requirements.
