A3 is looking for a proactive, highly organized Nutrition Coach who loves helping people turn nutrition goals into real, sustainable habits. You'll work primarily one-on-one with youth and adults with disabilities, building strong relationships with clients and families while managing an established caseload and helping each client make meaningful progress. Bilingual English/Spanish is required.
Position Overview:
A3 is seeking an experienced, mission-driven Nutrition Coach to join our ADAPT Program, supporting youth and adults with disabilities and their families in building healthier, more sustainable habits. This role combines nutrition and healthy habit coaching with individualized support, behavior-change strategies, and family collaboration. Coaching is delivered primarily through 1-on-1 sessions, with additional support through push-in coaching during training sessions, parent/caregiver check-ins, remote coaching, and other formats as appropriate. We're looking for someone with strong knowledge of nutrition and behavior change who is a proactive, self-directed problem solver with genuine empathy and a heart for helping others. The ideal candidate takes initiative, works independently, builds strong relationships with clients and families, and brings the organization and adaptability needed to successfully manage a high-volume caseload. Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is required for this position.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Conduct initial consultations to understand each client's health habits, lifestyle, goals, and needs, including caregiver input when appropriate. Develop personalized nutrition and healthy habit plans based on each client's needs, goals, and abilities. Provide individualized nutrition and healthy habit coaching, primarily through 1-on-1 sessions, with additional support provided through push-in coaching, parent/caregiver support and check-ins, remote coaching, or other formats as appropriate. Adapt coaching, communication, and resources to each client's developmental, behavioral, and cognitive needs. Collaborate with parents and caregivers to support behavior change and healthy habit formation. Periodically review progress and update goals and plans as needed. Develop and utilize nutrition education tools and resources to support client understanding and follow-through. Manage a high-volume caseload using A3's client management systems to maintain accurate notes, goals, progress tracking, and client/family communication. Ensure all coaching remains within appropriate ethical and professional scope based on the coach's credentials, including referring out when medical nutrition therapy, feeding therapy, or clinical care is needed. Collaborate with A3 Coaches to reinforce consistent messaging and support around nutrition, healthy habits, and behavior change.
Reporting Relationships:
Reports to : Program Manager Collaborates with : Clients, parents/caregivers, A3 Coaches and team members, and KRC Service Coordinators as appropriate to support client progress and continuity of services.
Qualifications:
Bilingual in English and Spanish required. Bachelor's degree in nutrition, kinesiology, health science, public health, or a related health field preferred. 1-3+ years of relevant nutrition, health, wellness, or behavior-change coaching experience preferred. Experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of nutrition and health, with the ability to translate that knowledge into practical, client-centered behavior-change strategies. Ability to adapt coaching for clients with intellectual or developmental disabilities, including adjusting communication, pace, and teaching strategies to meet individual needs. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for clients with diverse learning and support needs. Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to independently manage a high-volume caseload. Key Skills & Competencies Ownership

Implements habit-based nutrition and health strategies using empathy, structure, and evidence-based coaching tools to support meaningful change. Technology & Documentation — Tech-savvy and quick to learn new systems; confident using Google Workspace, Canva, client management tools, and digital platforms to maintain accurate records and create resources that support client coaching. Team Collaboration — Proactively communicates and coordinates with A3 Coaches, the Program Manager, and other team members to support clients and maintain continuity across programs.
