Female Mental Health Companion/ Recovery Coach Private party - 4.3 Oceanside, CA Job Details Contract $50 - $100 an hour 1 hour ago Qualifications Collaborate with healthcare professionals CPR Certification Teamwork Maintaining patient confidentiality Client rapport building Driver's License Direct support Relationship management Home health Full Job Description Female Mental Health Companion / Recovery Coach North San Diego County | Part-Time | 2-4 Days Per Week | 1099 Contract Seeking an experienced female Mental Health Companion / Recovery Coach to provide consistent, one-on-one support to a client in North San Diego County . This position requires someone who can build a positive, trusting relationship while working within a structured care plan and receiving strong guidance, oversight, and support from the treatment team . The role involves active coaching and collaboration with providers—not traditional caregiving or passive companionship. Responsibilities Provide one-on-one community and home-based support Follow the structure, expectations, and care plan established by the treatment team Maintain healthy professional boundaries while encouraging appropriate independence Support daily routines, appointments, activities, and treatment goals Assist with emotional regulation, redirection, and de-escalation Observe and report behavioral changes, safety concerns, and progress Encourage medication adherence as directed by the treatment team Communicate regularly and professionally with case management and other providers Participate in ongoing communication, guidance, and oversight from the treatment team Provide objective written documentation Accompany the client to appointments, outings, and community activities Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who is: Calm, confident, and emotionally grounded Warm and compassionate while maintaining firm boundaries Highly dependable and consistent Comfortable working under the direction and oversight of a treatment team Skilled at redirecting challenging or inappropriate behavior Observant and able to recognize behavioral or emotional changes Able to work independently while following an established care plan An excellent communicator with sound judgment Receptive to feedback, supervision, and ongoing clinical guidance Experience in mental health, behavioral health, addiction recovery, trauma, developmental disabilities, psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field is strongly preferred. Requirements Female applicant Available 2-4 days per week Located in or within reasonable driving distance of North San Diego County Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance Ability to pass a background check Strong professional boundaries and confidentiality CPR certification or willingness to obtain Ability to provide reliable, ongoing availability Willingness to collaborate with and receive direction from the treatment team This is an excellent fit for someone experienced in behavioral or mental health support who understands how to balance rapport and compassion with structure, accountability, professional boundaries, and close collaboration with a treatment team .
