SNI Companies is searching for a Health Support Technician to support our client in the downtown area of Jacksonville, FL. This is a full-time opportunity offering benefits such as medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, and a 401K retirement plan after 90 days.

$19.00 an hour

Monday through Friday, 8AM to 5PM Health Support Technician Job Summary

The Health Support Technician works in a team setting to provide HIV/STD testing and educate the community on outreach prevention services. The Health Support Tech will assist in program planning and implementation.

Responsibilities:

Performs HIV and STD screenings and testing in accordance with established clinical and public health protocols.

Provide confidential, compassionate support to individuals receiving HIV/STD testing and prevention services.

Educate patients and community members on HIV/STD prevention, risk reduction, safer sex practices, and available health resources.

Promote HIV prevention services, including routine testing, PrEP, PEP, and other available community health resources.

Participate in community outreach initiatives, health fairs, educational events, and public awareness programs to increase access to testing and prevention services.

Assist with outreach planning, event coordination, and distribution of educational materials and prevention resources.

Provide administrative assistance with monthly data collection and tracking results, maintains all necessary materials for HIV testing.

Follow HIPAA, infection-control, confidentiality, and established public health guidelines when providing services.

Provide culturally sensitive, nonjudgmental education and support to individuals regarding sexual health and disease prevention.

Qualifications:

1+ year of experience working with HIV/STD patient population preferred

Experience performing or assisting with HIV and STD/STI testing and screening preferred

HIV Testing Certification preferred

High school diploma or GED required

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations

Able to work with people from diverse ethnic, cultural, socioeconomic and sexual preference backgrounds

Must be able to work on-site
