Peer Educator Peer Educator LG13Large union organization located in Piney Point, MD has Two openings for a Peer Educator LG13.
Applicant should:
have awareness of disease manifestation in bio-phycho-socio-spiritual domains, maintain working Knowledge of the disease model of alcoholism, be committed to continued education for social justice and equality, have familiarity with AMA and ASAM disease definitions of alcoholism and addiction, through knowledge of 12 step recovery programs, as well as knowledge of alternative self-help recovery programs, work independently with minimum supervision as well as part of a treatment team, be aware of cultural, sociological, and ethnic differences and strengths of diversity, be certified in CPR, Head discussion groups and present lectures, demonstrate knowledge of relapse prevention, process, warning signs and management strategies. Valid driver's license required to transport clients.

Compensation is $21/hour. Base rate could be higher with a post high school degree related to the job. We offer an excellent benefits package.
