Overview We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Health Educator to lead impactful community initiatives focusing on the underserved communities. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape program strategies, foster community engagement, and drive positive change through innovative project development focused on pee who use drugs, young gay and bisexual men, and minority women. Duties A Health Educator is an individual who has knowledge, experience and the ability to work with the high-risk communities by providing information and services related to sexually transmitted infections, the prevention of STIs and other areas of health education. Potential employees must have familiarity with the populations' social issues and specific needs to advocate and manage in today's society. Outreach and recruitment in our programs focuses on getting the populations to know their HIV and STI status, and how to prevent contraction and spreading of STIs. Health Educators will be trained and certified as HIV screeners. Depending on the population to be served, additional trainings may be required.
