Clinical Nurse Educator
ABOUT FIVE RIVERS HEALTH CENTERS
Five Rivers Health Centers is an expanding Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) providing a medical home for low-income patients in Dayton and Xenia, Ohio. We provide quality medical, dental, vision, and behavioral healthcare to over 27,000 patients with more than 90,000 visits annually at our six convenient locations. Position Overview To support the mission and vision of Five Rivers Health Center (FRHC) by integrating the nursing process while instructing and monitoring clinical related activities within the organization. This individual will be responsible for ensuring policies, procedures and protocols are being followed in the clinical areas and assist in the development of new policies as the need arises. The Healthcare Educator will work with the Chief Clinical Officer and the Quality and Compliance Manager to train and educate staff on the core competencies needed to provide quality care to Five River's patients. The Healthcare Educator must be proficient with EPIC and able to chart review records in order to monitor compliance. The Healthcare Educator will be familiar with HRSA, PCMH, CDC, ODH, OSHA and other governing bodies and provide up to date information to FRHC employees. General Responsibilities Policy and Procedure/Protocol updates and provide education to staff Competencies for clinical staff (Medical and Dental) for new hires and annual competency trainings Collaborate with Human Resources, Quality/Risk Management, Workforce Development, and Clinical areas to align common goals for success Collaborates to assist in BLS/CPR, Flu vaccines, and providing health related education to employees Travels to multiple sites to observe and instruct having the ability to speak to staff individually and in group settings such as staff meetings. Resource for EPIC issues and troubleshooting problem areas such as open encounters, improving nurse visits and billing issues/errors. Understands 340b and clinic administered medications and proficient with Pyxis machines, vaccine refrigerators, etc. to provide training/assistance to staff Qualifications Registered Nurse License in the state of Ohio required Master's degree and 3+ years' Nurse Educator experience preferred Ability to travel to multiple locations Strong computer, organizational and research skills required Benefits Five Rivers Health Center offers a complete benefits package including medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts with employer contributions, health reimbursement account, 9 1/2 paid holidays, 20 paid vacation & sick days, employer-paid short-term disability, long-term disability & life insurance, wellness incentive, organization incentive, retention bonus, tuition discounts and 401(k) with employer contribution.
