In this role, you'll have the opportunity to walk alongside families throughout their prenatal and postpartum experiences, offering knowledgeable, personalized lactation support while creating a safe and welcoming space where they feel heard, encouraged, and cared for. We're looking for an IBCLC who brings both expertise and heart and who wants to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the families we serve. Duties Walk alongside families through their feeding journeys, providing thoughtful, personalized lactation consultations and support with latch, milk supply, infant feeding, and feeding techniques. Create individualized care plans that honor each family's unique needs, goals, history, circumstances, and cultural background. Offer education and encouragement around prenatal and postpartum nutrition, lactation, maternal health, and the anatomy and physiology of breastfeeding, helping families feel informed, confident, and empowered in their choices. Document care with intention and accuracy using our EMR/EHR system, keeping client records organized while ensuring continuity of compassionate care. Build trusting relationships with families from all backgrounds , providing culturally responsive support and creating a space where every family feels welcomed, respected, heard, and valued. Requirements Current IBCLC certification and Oregon licensure/registration, as required. Reliable transportation and ability to provide home visits throughout the Portland metro area. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Knowledge of lactation, infant feeding, anatomy, physiology, nutrition, and newborn care. Warm, compassionate communication skills and a family-centered approach. Commitment to providing inclusive, respectful, and supportive care to all families.
