reviews $23.83 - $25.01 an hour - Part-time Preventing Youth Overdose (PYO Grant) Peer Wellness Coach As a member of the PYO Grant Wellness team, the Peer Wellness Coach will mentor and provide supportive coaching to identified clients and groups to achieve health and wellness goals and reduce or eliminate behaviors considered high-risk. This role, in conjunction with the Wellness grant team, will create activities on-site and, in the community, which maintain and promote healthy lifestyles and consumer engagement along with advising a peer support program. The Coach outreaches to schools and the community to increase preventative information around risks of youth substance use. They will organize quarterly health wellness workshops to promote prevention materials and provide a platform for youth and families to interact and build relationships. Summary of Duties Assist clients in eliminating self-limiting behaviors and make lasting behavioral changes. Act as an accountability manager. Guide clients in establishing measurable wellness objectives. Educate clients and groups on healthy choices. Assist individuals and groups to create, design and implement sustainable lifestyle strategies. Compensation This is a part-time twenty-five hour per week limited position. The pay rate is $23.83 - $25.01 per hour. Summary of Qualifications High school diploma Peer with knowledge regarding topics such as youth SUD and risks, recovery supports and relapse prevention tools and or a willingness to be trained. Ability to work cooperatively and responsibly and communicate effectively as a member of a diverse team comprised of colleagues, supervisors, agency staff and collateral contacts. Abide by confidentiality policies and follow supervision directives. A valid driver's license, excellent driving record, and access to a safe, reliable, insured vehicle is required. Work Environment The role works in a variety of settings in the community and at the Agency.
