Role:
HMG Health Care Inc is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant (MA) to join our growing healthcare team in Lancaster, CA. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in patients' lives while working alongside a supportive and experienced clinical staff. Responsibilities:
Assist physicians and clinical staff with patient examinations and procedures Record patient medical histories, vital signs, and chief complaints accurately in EMR/EHR systems Prepare and maintain exam rooms, ensuring cleanliness and proper supply inventory Administer injections, draw blood, and perform basic clinical procedures as directed Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and coordinate referrals Communicate effectively with patients regarding treatment plans and follow-up care instructions Handle front and back office duties including insurance verification and prior authorizations
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required; Medical Assistant diploma or certificate preferred Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification a plus Previous experience in a clinical or medical office setting preferred Proficiency with EMR/EHR software and basic computer skills Strong phlebotomy and clinical skills including vital signs and injections Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus for serving the Lancaster community
