Overview As an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), you will play a crucial role in providing immediate medical care to patients in emergency situations. You will be responsible for assessing patients' conditions, administering necessary treatments, and ensuring safe transport to medical facilities. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care, the ability to work under pressure, and effective communication skills. Responsibilities Conduct thorough physical examinations to assess patients' medical conditions. Administer medications as prescribed and monitor patients for adverse reactions. Measure and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure. Safely drive emergency vehicles while adhering to traffic laws and regulations. Perform heavy lifting when necessary, such as moving patients or medical equipment. Utilize medical terminology accurately in documentation and communication with healthcare professionals. Participate in critical care transport for patients needing specialized medical attention. Assist in urgent care situations by providing timely interventions and support. Requirements Certification as an CT Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) is required. Strong knowledge of medical terminology and CT emergency protocols. Ability to perform physical examinations and assess patient needs effectively. Experience with medication administration and monitoring vital signs is preferred. Capability to drive emergency vehicles safely under various conditions. Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and remain on your feet for extended periods.
