Job Description

Spine and Wellness Center is a small chiropractic and wellness office in Lakewood Ranch, and we're hiring a therapy technician to work with patients in our treatment area. Most of a patient's visit happens in the back, on our therapies. You'd be the person getting them set up, making sure they're comfortable, and keeping an eye on them during treatment. It's hands-on, you're on your feet most of the day, and you'll see a lot of the same patients week after week. Dr. Mike Banman has been practicing for over 23 years. Along with chiropractic adjustments, we offer spinal decompression, Class IV laser, shockwave, hyperbaric oxygen, red light, and vibration therapy. You don't need to know any of these yet. We'll train you on every machine. What you'd be doing: Setting patients up on spinal decompression and monitoring them during their session Running therapies like laser, red light, vibration plates, and hyperbaric oxygen under the doctor's direction Helping patients with posture and stretching tools between treatments Keeping each patient's visit on schedule so they move from one therapy to the next without waiting around Cleaning and resetting equipment between patients and keeping the treatment area stocked Noting how each patient did that day and letting the doctor know about anything that seems off Helping out at the front desk when it gets busy What you need: Comfortable working closely with people, including older patients and people who are in pain Able to be on your feet most of the day and help patients on and off tables Good at following a routine exactly the same way every time Paying attention to details and speaking up when something isn't right Reliable and on time Nice to have: Spanish. Many of our patients prefer it, so this is a big plus. Experience as a chiropractic assistant, physical therapy aide, massage therapist, personal trainer, or in another hands-on health job CPR certification A background in exercise science, kinesiology, or a similar field The best people in this job are patient, friendly, and actually care whether someone is comfortable. If a patient is nervous on their first decompression session, you're the one who calms them down. That part matters as much as knowing the equipment. The schedule is weekday mornings, some afternoons, and a couple of hours on Saturday morning. No nights and no Sundays. To apply, send your resume and a few sentences about any hands-on work you've done with people. We'll call you for a quick phone chat, then set up a time for you to come by the office and see the treatment area.
Pay:
$15.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 25.0 - 40.0 per week People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply
