Responsibilities Assist with patient mobility, positioning, and hygiene to promote comfort and recovery Monitor vital signs such as pulse, blood pressure, temperature, and oxygen saturation using appropriate equipment Perform specimen collection including blood draws (venipuncture) and other lab samples following aseptic techniques Support cardiac monitoring through EKG setup, cardiac rhythm analysis, and event monitoring to detect abnormal heart activity Insert IV lines and perform catheterization procedures with precision and adherence to safety protocols Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities using clinical information systems Respond promptly to patient needs, providing basic life support (BLS) including CPR when necessary Operate medical equipment safely and efficiently for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes Follow infection control practices such as aseptic technique during suturing or invasive procedures Assist with emergency room procedures, including heavy lifting and rapid response to critical situations Experience Prior hospital or acute care experience is highly preferred, especially in emergency room settings or intensive care units Demonstrated proficiency in venipuncture, phlebotomy, and specimen collection techniques Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to patient care procedures Hands-on experience with cardiac event monitoring and EKG interpretation Familiarity with clinical information systems used for documentation and data management Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR is required; additional certifications such as ACLS are a plus Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work effectively in high-pressure environments Join us as a Patient Care Technician if you're passionate about providing exceptional patient-centered care while advancing your clinical skills.
