Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Med-tech to join our healthcare team in providing exceptional patient care within senior living, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care settings. As a vital member of our caregiving staff, you will assist with daily resident needs, monitor health status, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations. Your role will be instrumental in enhancing the quality of life for our residents and patients through attentive care, medical support, and compassionate communication. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with diverse healthcare needs. Responsibilities Assist residents and patients with personal care activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance. Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates to track health status accurately. Assisting with Self Administered medications and treatments following prescribed protocols while maintaining detailed medical documentation. Support residents with specialized needs such as Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, and tube feeding procedures. Operate Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and other medical documentation tools to ensure accurate record-keeping in compliance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations. Perform manual handling tasks safely during patient transfers or heavy lifting activities while adhering to proper techniques. Maintain a safe environment by practicing first aid and CPR when necessary and responding promptly to emergencies or incidents. Skills Proven experience working with geriatric patients in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medication administration protocols. Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Cerner or similar platforms for accurate documentation. Excellent caregiving skills combined with compassionate communication tailored to residents' individual needs. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks required for resident personal care assistance. Understanding of HIPAA regulations and maintaining strict confidentiality of patient information at all times. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities-related needs is highly desirable.
