Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medicine Technician to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide essential support in delivering high-quality patient care within Assisted Living and Memory Care. Your expertise will ensure residents receive safe, respectful, and personalized medical assistance while adhering to all regulatory standards. Duties Assist with medication administration, ensuring accurate dosage and timing in compliance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems Support residents with personal care activities including bathing, grooming, mobility assistance, and hygiene routines Assist with mobility and manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting or transfer of residents using proper techniques to prevent injury Maintain detailed medical documentation, including medication logs, medical records, and incident reports in accordance with legal requirements Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease by implementing memory care strategies and supporting cognitive well-being Respond promptly to emergencies by performing first aid or CPR when necessary; ensure safety during incidents or adverse events Collaborate effectively with nursing staff, caregivers, and family members to communicate patient needs and progress clearly Uphold patient confidentiality at all times by following HIPAA guidelines while managing sensitive information Experience Prior assisted living experience or senior care background is required. Demonstrated experience working in nursing homes or assisted living. Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support procedures such as CPR and first aid certification Proven ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities or memory impairments in a compassionate manner Experience using EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner for accurate medical documentation Knowledge of state Board of Nursing regulations and compliance standards for healthcare providers Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper manual handling techniques Strong communication skills tailored to caregiving roles involving resident personal care assistance and caregiver communication strategies Join our team to provide exceptional medical support that enhances the quality of life for those we serve!
