Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patient conditions through observation of vital signs, mental status, and physical health, documenting changes accurately Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and compliance Operate patient transfer equipment such as Hoyer lifts and manual handling devices to facilitate safe movement Prepare nutritious meals aligned with dietary needs, and assist with meal service to promote well-being Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing cleaning duties and adhering to infection control protocols Provide companionship and emotional support, engaging residents in meaningful activities to enhance quality of life Experience Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred Demonstrated ability to observe patients carefully and respond promptly to changing needs or emergencies Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, hospice care, or neurodevelopmental disorders enhances your effectiveness in this role Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or intellectual disabilities support is advantageous Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional training in manual handling, patient transfer methods, and medication administration is beneficial Familiarity with HIPAA regulations ensures confidentiality and compliance in all aspects of patient care Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare teams are essential Embark on a rewarding career where your dedication directly impacts lives.
