Direct Support Professional

Job Description

Part Time:
1st (8am-4pm), 2nd (4pm-12am) 3rd (12am-8am) Company Overview ReNu Life specializes in providing personalized services for individuals with Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) . Our Facility serves as a vital transitional space, bridging intensive rehabilitation and group home living to support long-term independence and well-being. Overview We are seeking energetic and compassionate Direct Support Professionals to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in assisting residents with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting a positive, supportive environment. Your efforts will directly enhance the quality of life for individuals with diverse needs, including cognitive and/or physical challenges. Responsibilities Provide hands-on support with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance Monitor residents' health by taking vital signs and observing for any changes in condition or behavior Assist with medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and safety Operate equipment such as Hoyer lifts and resident lifts safely to support mobility and prevent injury Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and adhering to infection control protocols Document resident progress, update care plans, and communicate effectively with team members about any concerns or observations Qualifications Prior experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks as needed Strong observational skills for resident monitoring and patient safety assurance Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to protect resident confidentiality Compassionate attitude combined with excellent communication skills Valid certifications in CPR and first aid are desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided if needed Join us at ReNu Life where your dedication makes a meaningful difference!
