Description :

This position performs technical work driving an ambulance to rescue or transport the sick and injured; administers emergency medical care at the basic level; gathers medical history and relays to doctor or hospital; assists the Paramedic and Advanced EMT; and performs related tasks as required. . The person selected for this part-time position may work up to 24 hours per week on an as-needed basis.

Requirements :

Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school supplemented by an EMT course provided by the North Carolina State Office of EMS. Prefer applicants with a minimum of six months experience and training in emergency medical care. Additional requirements include an appropriate State of N.C. driver's license, and the possession of (or ability to obtain) State of N.C. certification as an EMT at the basic level. This position works a 24-hour shift. Please provide a photocopy of all certifications.

Note:

Applicants certified as an Advanced or Paramedic may apply with starting salary to commensurate with certification level and work experience.
