Job Description

Position Description:

Purpose The Health & Safety Technician will support the Health & Safety function by partnering with leadership and employees to ensure a safe workplace across all TRC locations. This position will report to the Health & Safety Manager and will primarily support workplace inspections, safety documentation, and training. Essential Functions

• Perform routine workplace safety inspections, equipment checks, and facility walkthroughs to identify potential hazards or noncompliance. Maintain documentation and records related to inspections, corrective actions, and safety programs Assist with new or ongoing safety projects and compliance initiatives as assigned by the Health & Safety Manager Maintain and update the company's safety databases and tools, such as Safety Data Sheet inventories and inspection logs. Assist with employee safety training sessions and emergency drills. Coordinate with vendors and service providers for safety-related supplies, equipment, and services. Support various departments and teams as needed, providing health and safety guidance and resources to help meet operational and compliance goals. Support wellness and health promotion initiatives, including internal events, safety campaigns, and employee resource group activities. Maintain high levels of confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when managing sensitive health and personnel information. Qualifications High school diploma required Formal education or safety certification preferred (OSHA 10 or 30) Previous business office experience preferred Previous experience identifying safety risks preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer applications Excellent interpersonal skills Excellent communication skills Excellent organization and planning skills Excellent attention to detail Ability to work independently Consistent desire to expand safety knowledge and skillset Ability to travel up to 10% Valid driver's license Support TRC Inc.'s Quality and EH&S (Environmental, Health, and Safety) efforts Working conditions Standard office, climate-controlled environment May be exposed to temperatures under 0 degrees and above 95 degrees May be exposed to inclement weather May be exposed to hazardous chemicals, such as gas, oil, and paint Some travel may be required Physical requirements Must be able to remain in a stationary position for an extended period of time Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment Ability to communicate with customers and co-workers
