Yachats Rural Fire Protection District 2056 Highway 101 N, Yachats, OR 97498 541-547-3266 FIREFIGHTER/EMT Yachats Rural Fire Protection District (YRFPD) is establishing a list of qualified candidates for the position of Firefighter/EMT. YRFPD intends to create a hiring list following the testing/interview process. The potential to hire additional personnel from this list exists soon.

Minimum Requirements:

o Currently licensed as an EMT in Oregon. o Preference given for one year of EMS transport experience and experience with prolonged rural transport. o Current BLS CPR certification. o Oregon DPSST-certified NFPA Firefighter I and Certified Driver, or equivalent experience. o Motivated self-starter with the ability to work with staff from multiple departments and agencies. o Ability to interact well with patients, district patrons, volunteer staff, and career staff while providing quality care. Starting wage is $63,000/yr ($21.03 effective hourly rate) and may be negotiable depending on experience. This position works on a 48/96 schedule, we run approximately 850 calls per year.
