Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Second Shift Certified Medical Technician (Med Tech) to join our compassionate healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality patient care and assist with medication administration, ensuring the safety and well-being of residents in an assisted living. Your expertise in medical documentation and vital signs will support our commitment to delivering exceptional senior care. Duties Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols while maintaining strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards. Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature to assess residents' health status. Assist residents with activities of daily living. Maintain detailed medical records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) or EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems. Observe and report changes in residents' condition promptly to nursing staff or healthcare providers. Provide compassionate caregiving in assisted living facilities, involving individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges. Qualifications Valid certification as a Medical Technician (Med Tech) with current licensure as required by state law. Prior experience working in assisted living enviornment is preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and medication administration techniques. Experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner for medical documentation. Familiarity with hospice care, memory care, dementia care, and working with individuals with disabilities enhances your ability to deliver specialized support. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and privacy of patient information.
