Full-Time and Part-Time Positions Available About the Position As an EMT-B with Bassett Rescue Squad, you will provide basic life support (BLS) care and transportation services to patients in emergency and non-emergency situations. You will respond to 911 calls, assist ALS providers, operate emergency vehicles, and help ensure that our crews are always mission-ready.

Your responsibilities will include:

Responding to emergency and non-emergency medical calls Assessing and treating patients within the Virginia EMT scope of practice Providing

CPR, AED

use, oxygen administration, splinting, and other BLS interventions Safely transporting patients to appropriate healthcare facilities Assisting Paramedics and Advanced Life Support providers Completing electronic patient care reports accurately and timely Maintaining ambulances, equipment, and supplies Participating in training, community events, and emergency preparedness activities Delivering compassionate, respectful care to patients and families QualificationsRequired High School Diploma or GED Current Virginia EMT Certification (or ability to obtain Virginia recognition) Current Healthcare Provider CPR/BLS Certification Valid Driver's License Ability to meet agency credentialing and employment requirements Preferred Previous EMS or 911 experience National Registry EMT Certification EVOC Certification ICS 100, 200, 700, and 800 Training Public Safety, Fire/Rescue, or Emergency Services experience Who We Are Looking For The ideal candidate is: Patient-focused and compassionate Dependable and professional Calm under pressure A team player Committed to providing high-quality care Ready to serve the community at any time of day or night Schedule We are hiring for: Full-Time Positions Part-Time Positions Schedules may include day, evening, night, weekend, and holiday shifts.
