Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Clinical Education to lead and innovate our clinical training programs across diverse healthcare settings. Duties Develop and execute comprehensive clinical education strategies aligned with organizational goals, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. Lead the design and delivery of training programs for nursing staff, including precepting new hires, ongoing professional development, and specialized certifications in critical care, ICU, pediatrics, home care, and acute care. Oversee the creation of educational materials utilizing medical terminology, physiology, anatomy knowledge, and hospital-specific protocols to ensure clarity and effectiveness. Coordinate with hospital leadership to identify training needs related to health regulation policies such as HIPAA and state healthcare regulations; implement compliance-focused educational sessions. Supervise clinical staff training sessions, workshops, and seminars utilizing adult learning principles to maximize engagement and retention. Monitor and evaluate the impact of educational programs through assessments, feedback surveys, and performance metrics; continuously refine curriculum for optimal results. Lead a team of clinical instructors and trainers, fostering a collaborative environment focused on excellence in patient care, medical documentation accuracy, and team leadership development. Qualifications Extensive experience in critical care environments such as ICU or emergency departments; nursing home experience highly preferred. Proven track record in teaching hospital settings with strong background in nursing leadership roles. Demonstrated expertise in adult education techniques, clinical instruction, precepting, and team leadership within healthcare settings. In-depth knowledge of health regulation policies including HIPAA, state healthcare regulations, medical records management, and medical documentation standards. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for creating reports, training materials, and tracking educational outcomes. Strong understanding of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, patient care procedures across pediatric and adult populations. Ability to lead training & development initiatives that improve clinical staff performance while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Excellent communication skills with the capacity to motivate diverse teams of healthcare professionals committed to delivering exceptional patient care.
