QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

Current RN license in the state of Alabama; 2 years clinical experience relative to the assigned unit(s) of responsibility; Demonstrated clinical competencies at the mastery level in one or more advanced competency areas within the division; Minimum one-year charge nurse experience; Certification in specialty area OR completion of certification as soon as candidate meets all eligibility requirements as stipulated by the certifying board.

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree OR Documentation of acceptance/enrollment in a BSN program with successful completion of the degree within 3 years from date of hire; Professional membership Preferred

LANGUAGE/ COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Ability to communicate effectively with individuals of various educational levels via written and verbal formats; Experience utilizing intranet/extranet and e-mail.

SKILLS:
